Bungy Jumping is the sport of jumping off a tall structure e.g. a bridge or building, whilst being connected to a large rubber cord, attached to the participants ankles.When the person jumps, the cord stretches to absorb the energy of the fall, then the jumper flies upwards again as the cord snaps back. The jumper oscillates up and down until all the energy is used up. It was inveted by entrepreneur, AJ Hackett, in 1982.
New Zealand also has large amounts of geothermal and volcanic activity. Areas wehre this is most predominant is around the Rotorua - Taupo region. There is a large number of volcanoes and mountainous ranges located in most areas around New Zealand.
